Interview with Constantin Klausmann
“Everything is possible – if you don‘t believe that, look for people who believe it and then they show you the way!.” – Constantin Klausmann
Today we feature Constantin:Klausmann, the founder at Unternehmen Freiheit LLC. We hear their story in their own words, their successes, their challenges and their insights.
Let’s start by getting to know you. Can you please tell us a little bit about you and what you do?
I‘m a German 29 old Newsletter Marketing Agency Owner. I travel full-time around the world (Mexico, Thailand, Spain etc) and run my business with 3 employees.
A great introduction and start to this interview. Can you please tell us, how did you start, from what age, and what made you decide to change direction and start?
I was wasting around as a party-addicted University Student. I was a Pizza Driver for Dominos to finance my BMW 7 Series and my party lifestyle. I wanted to start a business, but just studying economics at university doesn‘t show you how to start. But then I met my first mentor. He was building up the regional office for an insurance office.
So I started my first business selling insurance and investments. I built up a team of 17 people, but then it crashed.
Thank you for that insight. So can you tell us…What does your business do and where is your company based?
I‘m helping Ecommerce Brands to increase their customer lifetime value with Storytelling Newsletters. Especially in Covid Times, the costs of Facebook / Google Ads are so expensive.
We help them to sell more to their existing clients, so they can save money for expensive ad campaigns. Unternehmen Freiheit LLC is based in St. Petersburg, Florida, this was the best option for my international lifestyle.
What’s the story behind your success? What led to your aha moment? how did you get to where you are now?
Live felt so monotonous. Going to work every day. Seeing the same people every day. Getting the same wage every month. I was looking for alternatives, especially, when I first traveled to Thailand. I wanted to see the world, realize projects in these countries, and build up a business empire. So I had to overcome some obstacles because the first business (Insurance Agent) failed, to start my international travel lifestyle. My down point at this time was when I was sitting in my flat without electricity anymore because I couldn‘t pay the bills. This changed my life and since that, I am like a Bulldozer crushing obstacles on my way to my dream life
Thank you for sharing that. What’s been your life’s biggest lesson so far?
In all the obstacles I had to overcome my three biggest lessons were:
You have to take 100 % responsibility for your life. This changes everything. Because you can search for solutions and you are not the victim of your fate anymore.
Listen to yourself and don‘t expect to get happy in the outside world. This gives you so much confidence, because you know, who you are and who you are not.
This leads us to No3: When you know, who you are, you know with whom you want to surround yourself and with whom not. Make a list of the characteristics people should have or not. Let only people inside your circle, who are lifting you up.
Instead of investing so much time in self optimization, invest in outsourcing and employees. Even your best version of yourself can‘t work as fast as 5 employees.
If you were to go back in time, what piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Search for mentors and people who have the results you want to have. Get friends with them, ask them and maybe pay them for their advice. Many successful people want to share their knowledge with younger people because they had nobody when they were young. And then start. If it is only small steps, doesn`t matter – but start. It is like a train – when you make the first steps, one day you are unstoppable.
We’re nearly halfway through our interview so it’s a great time to ask how does your business run? What three tools make your business run better?
My Team and a well-built structure with briefings, automated software (e.g. Lemlist) – so that the business is running like a clockwork.
What do you know now that you wished you had known before?
Instead of investing so much time in self-optimization, invest in outsourcing and employees. Even your best version of yourself can‘t work as fast as 5 employees.
What has been your greatest or proudest achievement or moment?
When I quit everything in Germany and was free to travel and run my business. Like a new life without chains.
What future life goals do you want to achieve and why?
My dream is not the classical Financial Freedom“. My dream is to be able to do projects all the time. Projects could be an adventure trip (crossing the Sahara), Charity Projects (Building Schools in Africa), or Business Projects (Restaurants).
To finish our inspire questions…”We believe that sharing inspiring words can inspire others.” If there was one positive thing you would say to someone to inspire and empower them what would it be and why?
Everything is possible – if you don‘t believe that, look for people who believe it and then they show you the way!
