Who are you and what do you do?
Tara Punter PR helps business owners with their presence in the media, both online and in traditional print media. We offer all aspects of PR, Marketing and Advertising through our management and coaching programmes.
We want more business owners to have the brand awareness and sales they so rightly deserve but don’t necessarily know how to achieve. Our team have over 15 years of experience in PR and Journalism so are perfectly suited to help business owners achieve (and smash) their goals through effective marketing.

What’s the story behind your success?
Creating systems in my business that support cash flow. Cash flow problems and people paying late nearly crippled my business 2 years ago, whereas I have just gone Limited and VAT registered and now have systems in place to reduce those initial cash flow issues.
What’s been your life’s biggest lesson so far?
Surround yourself with people who inspire, uplift and support you. Your support network will be there through the tough times and be there to celebrate in the amazing times too! That support network might be your partner, family or a coach.
Whoever they are, make sure they’re in it 100%! They should want you to succeed as much as you do. Once you have them, keep them close and return the favour.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Leave some money in the business to support cash flow issues, particularly essential in the first 12 – 24 months of being in business. Don’t wait until you get to £0 – set yourself a new target as your £0, so now, for example £500 is my new £0, This is the point I will not allow my business to get below. Also, always invoice up front and don’t start work until payment has been received. That would have saved a lot of hard times!

Asana, Dropbox and WhatsApp.
